Happy Birthday to Our Oldest and Youngest

With the kids getting older, it is tricky to plan a day to celebrate the kids' birthdays.  Today, being Memorial Day, we were able to celebrate Olivia turning 17 and Ruth turning 7.  My nephew said at the party, "I remember when Ruth was born. That seems like yesterday." Yeah, it does!

We had a cookout, some yard games for the kids, friends and family over to celebrate our girls.  It was a beautiful, sunny, warm day.

Ruth wrote her own message.

Pride Softball Photo Dump

Clare's season of softball started back in April.  This is her first season with Pride.  The majority of the girls are in 6th grade and few 5th graders like Clare.  What will be great with this team is that they will be able to stay together for another year or more.  In past, new teams have been created in August.  Since Phil and I decided last summer to leave the Johnston Association, this team will be able to stay together as long as there are girls wanting to be on the team or once school softball starts for them in 8th grade.

Here are a bunch of photos I've taken during the various tournaments her team has been in.

Unfortunately Clare was out.
Gramma Mary came to watch Clare and get blown away at the games.
Happy Mother's Day...Everyone present.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter friends! He is risen!
Grandma Ann came up to be with us this weekend.

We are celebrating Easter with my side of the family today.  With the family all together, a birthday boy will be turning 12 in April so we'll end with some yummy birthday cake.

I think my kids will be on a sugar high from all of the candy goodies and sweets we'll be having today.

That's All Folks.

December Recap #5

 Christmas in Maryville
Off to Maryville to celebrate Christmas with Phil's side of the family.  It was a special Christmas because this is the first Christmas for Baby Michael Damien.  He was born November 23.
Star Wars was recently released and Andrew couldn't wait to see the movie.  He and I went to see the movie in Maryville. Surprisingly I didn't fall asleep at the 10 PM showing...it was that good.

Happy New Years

Go Hawks
Hawks played in the Rose Bowl and the energy was contagious leading up to the big game.  However, the game turned sour after the first play and the team didn't have much of a chance to score, losing 45-16.
