Happy Half Birthday-6 months

Little R. is 6 months already. She is such a big girl-20 pounds worth. Over the past few weeks, she has taken to baby food and LOVES it. With her diet changing, she is definitely filling out and starting to get pudgy.

Doing leg lifts in her high chair.

The Beginning of the Christmas Season

Raye(sister-in-law) is always trying to find things to do around Omaha when we come visit. A tradition of Omaha is that on Thanksgiving night, the lights at the Jene Leahy Mall will light up. Even though we lived 25 minutes south of Omaha for 10 years, we never made a trip up to see the lights in downtown Omaha. Probably because we would often be out of town for Thanksgiving. Now that we moved away, we have family/friends to visit in Omaha. We found a great spot to stand and waited patiently for the Christmas lights turn on.

Posing in front of the Christmas lights.

It was a little chilly Thanksgiving night. Notice A. and his over-sized fleece. He had to borrow Uncle Danny's jacket. It worked to keep him warm.

I ran into my good friend, Amber, from G-Wood while walking on the paths. I was calling her on my phone and there she was, right infront of me walking. After a quick visit, we took the kids to the big slide to go down.

Thanksgiving

We traveled to Omaha to visit Dan, Raye and Gramma Mary. Raye and Dan hosted Thanksgiving dinner since they are staying home between now and March/April. The kids always look forward to their visit to Omaha. They have fun playing with Uncle Danny and Aunt Raye. Several trips were made to a nearby school playground to burn off some energy or I should say turkey.

On Friday, the weather was absolutely beautiful. The kids sure enjoyed playing at a local school playground and having fun with Uncle Dan, Aunt Raye, and Gramma.

Rollin' into 9 years old

Happy Birthday!!!
Today we celebrated A's 9th birthday with his friends at a local skating rink. It was a lot of fun!

A. with his 3rd grade buddies.

C. skating for the first time. She wanted to skate fast like the big kids, but roller skating isn't as easy as it looks.

A. is up by the DJ talking. He requested the song "Thriller" to be played for his bday song.

Aunt Sara came to help out with R.

5 Months

Baby R turned 5 months this past week. She has started to eat a little bit of rice cereal this past month. With all of this eating has moved her into 6-9 month outfits and some of these are getting too small. R is drooling a lot lately and likes to chew on teething rings and wet wash cloths. I think her bottom two teeth are bothering her at times with her high pitch squeals and chomping on her fists.

Rollin' Over

Tonight Baby R was just a kickin' and movin' on the floor. She was rolling on her side, so I quickly grabbed the camera to capture her rolling over. Phil had seen her do it about a month ago, but she doesn't do it on a regular basis yet.

Happy Halloween
